What is SkillsUSA?
SkillsUSA is a nonprofit organization that partners with Students, Teachers, and Industry workers to guarantee a skilled workforce in the future. Skills are here to give students that thrive to excel, Skills will push you to achieve much more if you compete. SkillsUSA is equipped with educational programs, events, and competitions in support of career and technical education in the nation’s classroom.
What are the competitions like?
First, there are three levels of competition students are faced with. Local, State, and National levels. “A team of three students demonstrates their ability to design an innovative engineering project and present those ideas along with a display and live model. How you'll be rewarded!
Unlike other competitions you will not be rewarded with $10,000 dollar cash prizes, you’ll be given something much better in the long run. You’ll be presented to Industry workers sent that were sent out as scouts to preview your skills and abilities. They will focus on your work abilities, work attitude, and team work abilities. Once sucsessful your chance of apprentice opportunities are sky high. Skills gets you set up for the long road ahead of you, full of innovative designs and great experiences.
